LATEST TECHNOLOGY

Technology is a vital part of performing effective vision correction procedures. With an absolute commitment to optimal patient outcomes, Dr Rick Wolfe realises the need for continued investment in the latest technology to be a leader in the industry.

Having personally performed over 28,000 laser eye procedures, Dr Wolfe, understands that no two eyes are the same. That’s why we work with each patient to find treatment options that best suit their individual needs.

At Vista Eyes Laser Eye Clinic, we treat our patients with the latest in state-of-the-art care. Vista Eyes is the only clinic in Victoria to offer patients the latest “Customised LASIK” treatment by using the newest diagnostic devices to provide customised and accurate data for each eye.

The next generation in laser eye surgery technology – ‘wavelight plus’ –  now available at Vista Eyes Laser Eye Clinic!

We are the first and only clinic in Victoria to offer this groundbreaking innovation, marking a significant milestone in the field of refractive surgery.

As seen on Channel 7 News:

‘wavelight plus’ represents a culmination of a decade’s worth of intensive research and development, stemming from mathematical principles published ten years ago. Unlike traditional LASIK methods still used in many clinics, this cutting-edge technology eliminates the need for a glasses script in calculations, ensuring unparalleled precision. The technology requires multiple measurements of the eye’s internal structures are taken and an electronic 3D model of the patient’s eye, known as an ‘eyevatar’, is generated. A powerful computer then analyses 2000 rays to determine the exact shape of the cornea required to direct light precisely onto the retina, also known as “ray tracing” optimisation.  The calculated result is delivered with unmatched accuracy and superior results.

All the data collected from our eye assessments and diagnostic tests is used for the Custom LASIK treatment pattern undertaken by the WaveLight EX500 Excimer Laser, ensuring a highly personalised procedure.

Our WaveLight Refractive Suite consists of the fastest combination of lasers available to perform laser eye surgery:

  • Wavelight FS200 Femtosecond Laser
  • Wavelight EX500 Excimer Laser

For LASIK patients, the Wavelight FS200 Femtosecond Laser is used to create a corneal flap. This laser offers the world’s fastest flap creation times, with standard flap creation in just 10 seconds.  This makes the procedure far more comfortable for our patients.

For both LASIK and ASLA patients, the Wavelight EX500 Excimer Laser reshapes the cornea and corrects your vision.  The laser has the world’s fastest ablation time at 1.4 seconds per dioptre, offering a fast, accurate laser treatment.

The Wavelight EX500 Excimer Laser also has an automatic multi-dimensional eye tracker, with dynamic pupil-tracking technology. Even when your eye moves, the treatment remains perfectly centred making this laser one of the safest, most effective lasers available.

At Vista Eyes, our state-of-the-art diagnostic devices and lasers ensure our patients achieve their best possible vision.

As well as investing in state-of-the-art technology and training, we are continually keeping abreast of the latest advances in eye surgery, both internationally and in Australia, to provide patients with the highest standards available.
